Tech4Heritage: Preserving Iraq's Cultural Heritage through 3D Digitization Tech4Heritage (T4H) is an inclusive Iraqi/European initiative dedicated to the 3D preservation of cultural heritage in Iraq. This project focuses on training individuals in regions like Nassiriyah, Babylon, Baghdad, Mosul, and Sulaymaniyah to digitize cultural assets, ensuring their preservation and accessibility for future generations. Key Activities Training: T4H conducts intensive five-day workshops, followed by a year of support from professional 3D digitization experts. Participants receive training in documentation, 3D modeling, and data management. Collecting: Trainees visit archaeological sites, historic buildings, and museums to digitize cultural heritage and document its condition. The captured data is transformed into 3D models, contributing to a comprehensive digital archive. Sharing: T4H organizes activities in every governorate, involving expert technicians and renowned archaeologists. Through an intensive media campaign, the project aims to build a virtual cultural bridge between different Iraqi regions and the rest of the world. By leveraging digital technologies, Tech4Heritage not only preserves Iraq's rich cultural heritage but also makes it accessible to a global audience, fostering appreciation and understanding of the nation's historical treasures.
